I like to think of myself as a highly motivated, determined and optimistic individual… but that was not always the case.
As a kid I was never happy with my weight and often kept a lot of anxiety and emotional issues to myself. Though a lot of these issues took a lot of time and opening up to resolve, what helped massively was my love of working out!
It all started when my dad introduced me to weight training as a way of strengthening my back after a small car accident (I recently learned I actually have a minor scoliosis). I liked sports as a kid, but just saw it as “a bit of fun” and nothing more. Though once I started, I LOVED weight training, and loved seeing first hand the potential and strength the human body has.
Fast forward some years, I became very passionate about many aspects of health and fitness and successfully achieved and maintained my first fat loss phase/diet (21lbs in 3 months)! Not to mention I was much happier, healthier and felt like I could do anything.
All that being said, fitness always took a back seat to my first love; film production. After finishing Film Production at university and many years of exercising different ways and learning many of the rights and wrongs of the fitness industry, I decided to bring fitness and helping others to the top of my goals. I wasted no time learning even more and became a certified Level 3 Personal Trainer. With plans to continue learning and growing, while building a strong, friendly and professional personal brand.
Curious about where The PT Package came from? Allow me to elaborate. Over the past five years, my intrigue with sales and marketing has been unwavering. Prior to delving into the world of personal training, my professional journey was anchored in sales roles. Surprisingly, for someone who wasn't always at ease conversing with strangers, my experiences during university and part-time hospitality roles transformed my confidence and passion for engaging with people.
Upon leaving The Gym Group Portswood, I found myself enriched with further invaluable business and sales knowledge—especially in the context of being a successful personal trainer. Yet, despite my flourishing and growing career, I found myself missing sales, marketing, and the warmth of hospitality. Thus, I made the decision to step away from personal training, driven by a thirst for business knowledge and a desire to once again connect with people on a more frequent basis, whether it be through sales, brightening their day, or offering assistance in other realms.
The concept of a "PT Package" had been brewing in my mind long before I officially hung up my personal training hat. However, the whirlwind of activity in my life at the time left little room for me to nurture the idea. Then, fate intervened. March 2024—a time marked by a broken ankle and a surplus of time spent confined to my home—served as the catalyst for action. It was then that I resolved to embark on the journey of completing "The PT Package".
The statistics surrounding personal trainer longevity—wherein a significant portion tend to call it quits within the first year—did not come as a shock to me. Having experienced firsthand the lack of business and sales education provided alongside my Level 3 qualification, I was acutely aware of the uphill battle many trainers face.
In essence, without a robust understanding of sales and marketing, even the most skilled personal trainers may find themselves languishing without clients, ultimately forsaking their passion prematurely.
Therefore, armed with this knowledge and driven by a desire to empower new and struggling personal trainers, I poured my heart and soul into crafting The PT Package. For over a month, day and night, I dedicated countless hours to its development, with a singular mission in mind: to provide aspiring trainers with everything that had propelled my own journey, and everything I wished I had at my disposal when I completed my Level 3 qualification.
